Doug Loewen has been in the real estate and building industries his entire working career.  Beginning as a realtor in his early twenties after college, Doug was well acquainted with all facets of the real estate market.  As a trade contractor for several years following, Doug not only worked alongside many other trade professionals, he also learned much about the process of home building.  Discerning what works well and does not work well by experiencing a variety of building formats has been an invaluable tool in his extensive knowledge gained during those years working with contractors.

 

After building a number of homes for his own growing family, Doug became a registered building professional in 2004, founding Pacific Coastal Homes Ltd.  He has since gone on to craft over two hundred projects in Richmond and other communities in the lower mainland.  Doug has overseen a variety of project categories including commercial and residential renovations, homes built on speculation and custom homes for individual clients, including a large equestrian training facility.

 

Doug’s approach to building fine homes is strongly rooted in his philosophy of respect and camaraderie with the trade professionals and clients he works alongside.  His approachable demeanour with trades and clients alike has resulted in relationships spanning decades.  He has worked with most of his craftsmen since starting in the industry in his twenties.  He has clients who have re-hired him to work with them on multiple projects and Doug values this level of loyalty above all.  He strives to maintain a working environment where all are appreciated for their contribution to a fine, quality product, built with pride.  Doug is always accessible to answer questions, discuss ideas and work in partnership with every homeowner to realize the home that they dreamed of.
